Our UIL One Act Play

 

UIL OAP season begins with rehearsals in February after we close our school-wide musical.  It is a 40-minute one act play that competes with other high schools in a theatre tournament of sorts.  We start off with the Zone Contest.  If we advance, we go on to the District Contest.  We have to advance at each level to continue.  Each contest is judged for overall presentation of the story, acting and technical pieces with feedback following each performance from the judging panel.  Parents are encouraged to attend each performance to support our students and directors.  

 

We are so proud of our UIL OAP Contest Company who performed Kodachrome by Adam Szymkowicz this year.  We advanced to District and finished our contest run by being named alternates for the Bi-District contest.  Our students and directors had some unique challenges this year and everyone rose to the occasion.  Congratulations to everyone who participated!  We would like to recognize those students who received awards:
